UK launches £30m strike force to dismantle crime gangs behind High Street fronts
A new national unit will target illicit businesses such as vape shops and mini-marts used by organised crime to launder money and traffic drugs. The unit, funded by £30m, aims to strip gangs of their High Street cover within two years.
