WHO Declares Ebola Emergency in DRC as Outbreak Spreads Unchecked
The World Health Organization has declared the deteriorating Ebola outbreak in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo an international health emergency, warning of a 'very high' risk of cross-border spread. More than 2,500 cases and 1,600 deaths have been recorded since August 2018.
