Birmingham Council Fines Itself £472k for Polluting Vehicles in Clean Air Zone

Birmingham City Council paid over £472,000 in fines to itself after its own fleet repeatedly violated the Clean Air Zone rules. The council-owned vehicles, including buses and waste trucks, failed emission standards 43 times in 2023 alone.
