Dyer takes charge at Southend with two-year mission to restore Football League status
Kieron Dyer, the 47-year-old former England midfielder and Ipswich Town stalwart, has been appointed head coach of Southend United. The Shrimpers have terminated Kevin Maher’s tenure after two successive play-off campaigns, with Dyer signing a two-year deal to steer the club back into the Football League.
