Southern Water pledges £11m to shield Hampshire from groundwater floods
Southern Water will spend £11m sealing sewers across north Hampshire after last winter’s record groundwater levels overwhelmed the network. The programme targets St Mary Bourne, Penton Mewsey and Goodworth Clatford with upgrades designed to slash flood risk during prolonged wet spells.
