Greendale Construction relocates HQ to boost regional expansion

Greendale Construction, a Hampshire-based firm with a portfolio spanning school refurbishments, heritage conservation, and high-profile public sector contracts, has officially moved its headquarters from Winchester to Northfields House in Twyford. The relocation, completed this month, places the company’s leadership team within closer reach of key infrastructure and client sites across the M27 and M3 corridors.

Andy Musselwhite, contracts director at Greendale Construction, confirmed the move was designed to align with the company’s growth trajectory. “Our Winchester office served us well since opening in March 2020, but Northfields House gives us the proximity we need to scale efficiently across the region,” Musselwhite said. The firm now oversees multiple high-value public contracts, including the £12 million recladding of Hampshire County Council’s SCOLA schools and the restoration of Uppark House in West Sussex following a devastating fire in 2021.

The company’s team at Northfields House includes Musselwhite, contracts manager Simon Copping, quantity surveyor Aedan Carroll, and assistant quantity surveyor Jamie Mulholland. Together, they manage a pipeline of projects ranging from school infrastructure upgrades to heritage conservation, including work commissioned by the Royal Household at Windsor Castle. Greendale’s recent restoration of Uppark House—a 17th-century National Trust property—required a full electrical overhaul, fire safety upgrades, a new water treatment plant, and the installation of biomass boilers to meet modern sustainability standards.

Greendale Construction’s expansion reflects broader trends in the South East construction sector, where firms are consolidating operations to better serve public and private sector demand. The company’s portfolio now spans 12 counties, with a focus on education, conservation, and public infrastructure. Industry analysts note that the move positions Greendale to capitalize on upcoming tenders tied to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and local authority decarbonization grants.

While the Winchester office remains operational for ongoing projects, the leadership team has fully transitioned to Twyford. The relocation underscores Greendale’s commitment to regional development and operational efficiency, with Musselwhite emphasizing the importance of being “where the action is.”
